So where do I start. I had a hip replacement over 2 years ago and started riding shortly afterwards everything was fine until I started getting pains in my feet. I carried on cycling and just thought it was the norm. I would start getting pains at about the 35 mile mark and then thought I would not be able to put in 40 to 50 mile rides. I had a bike fit with Matt and it took about 3 hours and we covered everything made adjustments, insteps etc. Its now been 4 weeks since the fit and I can easily cover 45 miles no problems. Id like to thank Matt for making cycling enjoyable once again. My advice to anyone is dont spend so much on a bike and use the money to get a professional bike fit from Matt you will not regret it. I have just had a bike fit from In-Gear Cycle Sports, Forest Row and it has made such a difference to my riding position. I was quite skeptical of how good it would work, but let me tell you it was fantastic. I have had various problems, one of which was a kick over of my knee at the top of the peddle action which made my knee on my right side almost hit the top tube, but after 3hrs of testing I now am riding without any kick in my leg, the set up on my bike feels so different, on my first time out it did feel strange, but after a hour or so I settled into it, on my first ride on one of my normal Strava routes, I had 38 personal bests, feel free to look it up. I felt that I was really in control of the bike, much better control of every aspect of riding. So I am one of the converted, I am no longer skeptical about what a difference a very good fit can make by qualified and professional staff.
I've used several other bike maintainers in the past, but have found In Gear staff to be incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. An excellent shop, run and managed by people that really know their bikes. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.
