I ordered a book from the shop via Abebooks, shortly afterwards marked as shipped, so far so good.The book was ordered on 7th June now. 23rd June, no book. Despite paying extra for postage. What concerns me is that they do not seemed bothered about a missing book they have paid to be posted, do not respond to Abebook emails. I wonder if the book was ever posted?They may offer a good service face to face but the way they treat online customers is disgusting.
This place is a treasure trove of books on military history. Impressive numbers of books on all military subjects and also local history. I always manage to dig out a gem here. However, it is very, very cluttered and with more than three people in the shop browsing becomes a challenge. This is both charming and frustrating but it is a great little bookstore.
