Awful service since merging with Eastbourne. I am a licenced hackney driver. They have not sent out some important paper work. They Do not reply to any emails. And I cant get through to the right department on the phone. In the end I used Twitter to ask for direct contact details , I was just given a generic customer first@Lewes-Eastbourne email. And again no response to that email either. Customer first ?? Yeah right.
Absolutely Shocking.... They are very quick to charge for the Council Tax which is paid every month. But they won't pick up the phone which costs s for trying to ring up & constantly getting an engaged tone. The automated message service delibrately puts you on hold eating your precious money or credit. I have also emailed them several times & have had no response what so ever from them. Not even acknowledgement to say they received my email. I am appalled with them. I have resorted in writing a hand written letter and sending it directly to their council tax office. May I suggest you should provide a duty of care & put people before profit.....
I totally agree with previous Review, and how frustrating it is with no one willing to answer the phone! A previous attempt to contact the planning department to raise an objection to an application, as was passed from pillar to post being informed that several councils were involved. Shocking service!
website awful - really difficult to navigate and doesn't really give any useful or informative information. Trying to purchase a garden waste recycling bin. Keep sending me emails which don't give any useful information or proper updates. Should have realised just how bad they are when it took 10 weeks to process a local search when we purchased our property last year. Eventually spoke to someone who was very helpful but Council took money over 2 weeks ago and wont be delivering bin for approximately another 2 weeks - shocking! Was only going to give one star but because of help from person I spoke to, have given two stars!
