Lovely big, airy room and bathroom, and comfortable bed, but sadly I can't say anything else positive about our stay. Front garden looked like a dump - not very welcoming. Breakfast disappointing - muesli, small bowl of chopped fruit, a large, heavy croissant and just doughy white bread and jam (or marmite or honey) - not much of a holiday treat, especially having to have it served in our bedroom. We even had to make our own coffee. Having been out all day, we were shocked to return to see our dirty coffee cups still on the table, the bed unmade and our towels still wet (there was nowhere to hang them to dry). It was more Airbnb than B&B and, with no amenities, not what you'd expect for this price. Owners very pleasant but this is not the kind of stay people have come to expect. It was a nuisance having to pay in cash too.
We went for the famous Lewes fireworks display on 5th November. We were in a quiet road, but only a short distance from the town centre. The (vegetarian) breakfast was excellent and the owner (Rich) was good enough to give us advice on where to stand etc and personally attended to our comfort.
Really nice room and quite airy. Bathroom was very large and choice of bath or separate shower. Great sleep had and great overall stay.
Thank you for a delightful stay! The room was so well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast delicious. The bathroom was perfect. I look forward to having a luxurious soak in that bath when I next visit.
B&B in Lewes with a large bedroom and bathroom. Loved the bath after a hard days cycling. The owners were very helpful and even offered to give a paragliding lesson. I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast for a younger couple or family or group of walkers/cyclists.
