Atmospheric Tudor house retaining many original features, with fascinating displays about the history of life in the locality.
Enjoyed this very much & need to go back with more time to digest all the written information. You feel transported back in time. Sat in Garden with Tea & Biscuits.
We got married here, the events team were amazing and helped make our day one to remember. We liked the house on a visit and only asked about getting married there on the off chance, one of our better ideas. The house is a good visit in its own right, its links to henry's ex wife make it of interest to anyone visiting the uk as well as those visiting the area.
Interesting place that gives you a true sense of history. Informative brochures in the rooms provide lots of insights into what life was like. Don't bother with the little booklet since all the info can be found dotted around the house. If you visit on Sunday you can park on the single yellow line right outside the house. When you buy your ticket you can revisit as many times as you like within 12 months.
