Our grandsons loved the miniature railway, trampolines, as well as the motor museum. Sadly the Wildfowl areas were closed and the birds were in the process of being removed. Not sure what other changes are being made but hope the railway is retained.
The car collection was cool to see, but the wild fowl part was fantastic, lots of birds with signs so you can tell the different breeds. Nice place to wander around the caf seems family run and cakes are lovely
A nice day out for families with small children. Our nearly 3 year old had a lovely time, with a good play park and feeding the birds. She got bored with the cars, but my husband was interested in those! Cafe is nice. Train ride is fantastic for children! It was the sunny days and wonderfully crunchy autumn leaves that made the day really good! It feels more like a 7 day out than a 9 one, though.
Attended wood fair. Good range of old forestry and wood working tools for sale. Daughter enjoyed the snake rescue stall and having a 4 metre python draped around her. Excellent chair maker selling his beautiful ash chairs. A bit thinner on the ground than earlier years, possibly due to entrance fee hike.
Pleasant walk around the wildfowl. Difficult to relate the information boards to the wildfowl as they were free to roam but that did allow you to get close to the ones wandering around. Great collection of cars and motorcycles with good information. Also nice cafe!
