I think Firle place is such a magical place. It's a hidden gem in the Sussex countryside. I've attended a couple of events there and I especially like the vintage fair which was absolutely amazing
Many unusual corners of English and Irish history are illustrated by the collections at Firle Place, which is a family home as well as a significant cultural attraction. It's also a base for peaceful and intriguing walks e.g. to nearby St. Peter's Church, Firle Beacon and Charleston farmhouse.
A beautiful building & gardens. The tea room could be so much more though as not many have such a lovely terrace on offer. We did the self guided tour which was pleasant enough. Lots of written Information everywhere. The tour doesn't take very long as there isn't a huge amount to see. We enjoyed a few hours there though.
We attended the Firle Vintage Fair and had a thoroughly enjoyable day. Great entertainment and amazing stalls crammed with all kinds of wonderful things. If I were to criticize anything it would be the distinct lack of toilets and bins on site.
