Ridgewood Post Office is a lovely family run village shop. Everything from magazines, sandwiches, birthday cards to staple store cupboard essentials. Post office open during shop hours for maximum convenience. Staff are friendly and helpful and the shop is a fantastic community hub with all local information to hand.Thoroughly recommend and feel very lucky to still have a thriving village shop in our community.
The two staff members (women in their 50's) were incredibly rude and not helpful in anyway. I requested Second Class signed for on a package. It was put through as second class and as I left the store I realized the mistake. When I went back in store I had to wait 20 minutes and during that time the postman came in to collect the packages which then meant when I went up to rectify the issue caused by the staff member, my package had already been taken. The staff member was adamant I didn't ask for signed for, laughed it off and didn't say much else. Appalling service, and because of this I will no longer be using this post office and would advise the same for anyone else. (RESPONSE TO OWNER) I would recommend checking your roster from the image of the receipt I have just uploaded, instead of telling me that my accusation is false. As stated before, two women approximately aged 50 were behind the counter. Both were rude and provided the worst customer service I have experienced at a post office counter, even to the older woman in front of me that they served. They had very little patience for her and I ended up having to help her look for what she was after. This is due to the staff members not being bothered helping her. If the staff member at least apologized for the mistake and advised me steps I could take due to the complication, I would have been okay with it happening. But the fact I was accused of not asking for the service and spoken to in an aggressive and insulting manner was just downright rude.
